I have no problems with windows 10, everything has always worked for me, I'm using it since beta.
Updates are a non-problem for me as I have the fiber and actually set my shit up to not auto reboot and to not even asking me to.
I value performance more than anything else for this computer.
I also use linux and bsd for various things and at work (sysadmin).
As long as you understand the different trade-off, you should use whatever you want, I chose to give up some privacy on this computer, that doesn't make me less intelligent than the average hobbyist pushing his values down my throat.

For installation use a ps/2 keyboard/mouse. After I installed all of the drivers from my motherboard CD I haven't had any trouble using my USB mouse.
