high schools use it in my country because it is easy as hell to get to work and has the support of the best IDE. with C# teachers can focus on principals, algorithms, and productivity. i remember in 2005, my first year in high school, we were one of the first high school classes in the entire country to switch to C# from C or Pascal. now almost all schools are on C# with a minority on Java. no one teaches with C or Pascal.
i never use it myself unless i am tutoring a high school kid.
