safari on the mac mostly doesnt have this problem

I can't remember if I had a smooth browser experience before it. My guess is since Safari achieves it with no flash, no webm etc it is avoiding bloat that somehow became standard on the web at some point.

tldr: its probably not browsers so much as old standards and badly written webpages

I remember getting cable internet for the first time like 18 years ago and remembering how lightning fast that was. Websites would load in an instant, it was wonderful..

Then 12 years later or so it was crawling between 5 people in my household. We upgraded to Fiber internet, but it still wasn't that fast when you factor in streaming.

I've been promised 100MB/s internet but I'm only getting less than 20MB/s. These fucking liars at the ISPs are also to blame. But yes, Javascript and AWS running shit code are huge issues.

This is also becoming a problem on android and iOS. Android is becoming more and more bloated by the year. It's a fucking phone OS, 1GB was literally all that it really needs. But nope. My phone currently runs at like 70% memory capacity with 6GB memory and I don't even have the kikebook app running. Luckily my battery life is good, but still, it's the sole reason why memory prices are through the roof because of pajeet app developers.
