I still don't understand why /g/ hates SystemD so much.
>>61392926
Personally I don't like the verbosity of typing "systemctl" all the god damn time.
People have started to program dependently around it, which means trying to swap out parts of it or avoid it entirely breaks a lot of shit.
Because Gentoo (And now CloverOS I suppose) are hip memes. It doesn't matter if millions use systemd and have no issues with it. Lennart is a SJW so it is automatically worthless.

t. alias uninitiate
I could tell you but it would violate global rule 1
>>61392940
I hope you're baiting
Uniform vulnerabilities across all distros implemented through social manipulation rather than intelligent discussion.
>>61393000
software heteroculture is not a security feature
more developers on one piece of software is better than a bunch fucking around with their special snowflakes
>>61393000
Next you'll tell me that it's better to statically link libc or some shit.
>>61392926
NSA sponsored vector due to failure to control kernel.
>>61393020
Seems to me that it's going to make it easier for m$ to use it's embrace, extend, extinguish tactic.
>>61393020
wtf are you talking about?
>>61392926
Me neither, it's such a big project and they never had any bugs
>>61392926
Have you tried researching it or are you just trying to get everyone riled up for your own amusement?
>systemd comes along
>suddenly systems are network exploitable in parts of the system that have no business touching the fucking network in the first place, and you can send emails from your system logger
it's like replacing a fridge thermometer with an arduino connected to a less accurate thermometer
>>61394783
I'm sure those were just kernel and internet bugs
>>61394783
this. so much this. its like IoT on your fucking init system.
>>61392926
In their defense, /g/ is a consumer board so they don't really know why they hate SystemD either.
