my modem is giving me some serious grief right now

Anybody have any idea what the fuck my WAN is doing with RxPkts so high?

It shows this value and slight variations when re-polling regardless of my physical connection state:
- after factory reset
- when I'm disconnected from WAN
- when no cables/wires are connected at all

please help...
