>Inconsistent Performance from 4 Glued-together Desktop Die
What did Intel mean by this?

it's truth tho

Marketing . Truly awful marketing at that.
AMD BTFO

this is how you know intel is desperate.
You know a company has fucked up when instead talking about how good their product is, they try to shit on their competitors. benchmarking is typical, but lamo they can't do that because their server line up is shit because they milked it for too long.

Not a problem intel has ;^)

> Introduced in Jan 2017, Xeon E3-12xx v6 is the first Xeon series based on the Kaby Lake microarchitecture. It uses same LGA 1151 socket, which was introduced with the desktop Core i5/i7 Skylake processors. As before, the main difference between the desktop and server versions is added support for ECC memory and improved energy efficiency in the Xeon-branded parts.

They seem to be implying that any old amateur can de-glue the desktop dies for improved performance...
>>61367311
it means amd is shit

Ryzen has somewhat high inter-CCU latency, so any task that is spread across more than one is going to incur a speed penalty, or any task that occupies more than 8mb of L2 cache.
This means that a few fringe applications like database servers are going to run better on Xeons, but that's the 1% market that buys 4/8 socket servers anyway and probably wouldn't have really considered Ryzen.
>>61367311
They meant you should buy Intel and make it consistently shitty.
