I got a lifetime VPN for $49 awhile ago.
I know it's probably shit by comparison to the more established ones but it allows me to torrent, it has browser extensions for proxy switching, it's fast and I've tested that it does disguise my IP.

The only concern is whether they're 0 knowledge and whether they would cooperate with copyright agencies or whatever but since they're US based and I'm outside the US I don't think it's too likely to be an issue.
