Need your opinion on an upgrade /g/.

I have $1200 to spend and I'd like to optimize my gaming experience as much as possible.

I know I need to get a second monitor, but what exactly should I upgrade internally for that second monitor to function properly?

Is the 1070 enough for both monitors, or should I upgrade to a 1080? Or should I get a second 1070? I'm a layman with computers so I'm not sure where exactly my money should go.

sell the 1070 and use the iGPU instead

What you said is closest to what I was thinking. Would the difference between a 1070 and a 1080ti be very noticeable on D3/LoL/Overwatch?

Are you a professional CS:GO player? No? Then you don't need a 144Hz monitor. 4K is a huge visual upgrade from 1440p, let alone 1080p. Buying anything less in literally current year is absurd.

Any game benefits from high refresh rate and low input lag.

Meanwhile, 4k is extremely hard to run even on the totl cards, will only be harder to run as time passes, and offers very little bonuses to visual fidelity outside of edge smoothing and a level of pixel density you will hardly notice.

That being said, 1440p would probably be a good compromise considering it's at least possible to run and they make high refresh rate panels.

A 1070 is complete fucking overkill for those 3 games and you'd be better off with investing in a 1440p high refresh rate, 1ms input rate monitor.
