Are there any terms, articles, or books about the trend of unnecessarily bloated web sites that autoplay irrelevant videos, fuck up half the time even on good connections because of all the flash shit on the page, and have those stupid menus where you have to hover your mouse over 10 different icons to see all the content instead of just having it all on the page in plain sight?

Here is an example of an "outdated" web site that's way more user friendly than the trendier ones.

More web pages need to be like this. All the links are easily visible on the left. You can have great graphic design on traditional web sites, just make the fonts, color palatte, and margins pretty and professional without making half the page horrible autoplay playlists of half assed, click baity videos of a paragraphs worth of information stretched out over 3 minutes with 20 second ads to start each video and half the page being empty space with a billion dropdown menus instead of having all the links right there.
