chrome used to be an acceptable alternative to firefox if you wanted a fairly lightweight browser and were willing to accept a weaker addon ecosystem and 100% non-stop spying as a tradeoff, but now that chrome has become more bloated than firefox there really isn't a use case for it.

I used Firefox from 2007 - 2014. I switched to Chrome because it was way more streamlined and faster.

Still in shock that people are still using FF.
>>
Why do people use Chrome instead of Chromium?
>>
>>61321369

I used Nik's builds for quite sometime.

But really, with e10, Firefox is the king again.
Running 55.0b8 here, stable, normal memory usage, fast as fuck, and the only alternative that you can trust that's not a botnet.

What is the difference between Chrome and Chromium?
>>
>>61321369
Enjoy a RAM Hog as well as a shitty browser in general.
>>
>>61322802
>faster
Nice try anon
>>
>>61322887
Are Nik's builds trustworthy? Looks kind of Poojeet to be quite honest with you.
I'll try the latest Firefox Nightly again and see if it's better. Stable Firefox is still slow for me.
>>
>>61322920
Chromium is open source and has less botnet.

Chrome is what I use and have used since 2008 IIRC, before that I used IE lol. I like firefox as well but I much prefer the layout of chrome and how it looks, i could never get used to firefox myself, although still have it as a second browser. Plus having an android phone it syncs with it nicely. I also haven't really had that much of a problem with it using all my RAM unlike most people.

TL;DR Chrome is better than Firefox.
>>
>>61322126
>weaker addon ecosystem
Chrome has way more addons
of better quality

Ungoogled Chromium is best

>tfw stopped using Nightly after that update where they increased the size of the back button in the dark compact theme by a couple of pixels
It bothered me so much, the theme is basically perfect as-is

Why are you even asking this? Anyone who's been on this board for more than a month knows what browsers to use

LURK MORE NEWFAG

None. All browsers are shit. Even the forks suffer from the same negative points (slow, generate a lot of cache, suck up too much ram)
>>
>>61322838
Netflix

Firefox Nightly is surprisingly - not a meme.
So far haven't encounter any bugs and all extensions are working properly.
It's really fast, like not 'benchmark fast' but really fast.
