What do you want? Something new? Something old? What is your use case?
>>
>>61310567
>chiclet keyboard
off yourself
>>
>>61310474
Mostly for the 4:3 aspect ratio screen, I still use the X61s.
>>
>>61310611
Are the old thinkpads upgradeable? I just want a thinkpad that can handle Photoshop at the most and runs smoothly even with dozens of browser tabs open.
Which has the best keyboard?
>>
>>61310474
x200 or x60
>>
>>61310611
I want best battery life for under $300. Any suggestions?
>>
>>61310692
You are delusional, you need a modern computer for that, not even a T420 with those shitty low-end i5 or i7 "U" series can handle that shit smoothly

Old thinkpads are great for light work.

For what you described I would go for something along this lines: https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-20BG0011US-i7-4700MQ-Processor-Preinstalled/dp/B00HPR7K8Q/

Something like the above but with a T60 type keyboard would be even better though, not sure if they exist.
>>
x220 or x230. both can run photoshop easy, both quite portable. dont get the tablet versions tho
>>
>>61310474

Thinkpad x60
>>
>>61310692
Anything with a C2D and up is fine for regular Photoshop. X61 or T61. If you do editing of very high resolution multilayered things you'll run into problems with RAM.

T. Never owned a thinkpad
>>

None, buy a Macbook Pro if you want a real computer
>>
>>61310952
Why not the x61?
>>
>>61310474
T420/X220/modded T430/X430
>>

*X230

X200 for freetards; X220 for people who have to have a (((modern))) processor even if it confers no improvement.
>>
>>61310474

701C, you filthy casuals

I have a Thinkpad T420 with 8GB of RAM running Fedora 25. Runs phenomenally, handles everything I throw at it.

Usually dev work, penetration testing with Kali, and web browsing.
>>
>>61310474
t420 is very nice. Easy to find replacement parts, too.

Looking for a laptop for uni, and the T440P looks gd.
Ik it doesn't have buttons but does the touchpad click down like a macbook trackpad?
>>
>>61318740
oops thought this was tpg, still any help appreciated
>>
x220
>>
>>61318740
>>61318771
Yes
Still, you can replace it with a **50 series trackpad and it will still click down, with the additional benefit of having actual trackpoint buttons
>>
bruhs, what a good thinkpad for uni and some dota 2 playing?
>>
>>61313662
Be honest, what are you 'pentesting' and what tools are you using?
>>
>>61320599
T430
>>
>>61314157
But the screen is shit. I'm going to buy x230 with an IPS and going to use T420 docked with external monitors.
