What does /g/ use to browse IRC? Also, how can I keep track of everything? I'm in about 20 different rooms on 4 different servers, and I'll glance from time to time at all of them, but there is no way I can keep up. Feel like I'm always missing out on some great discussion that you can't find on on forums (mainly on Freenode to learn more technologies).
xchat
kopete is also gud

hexchat
used to use mirc, but it wont let me run unlicensed version anymore after years of usage

I use irssi myself but >>61262105 is a damn good option too. My technique is just sit idle while I talk on other channels, like everybody else.

Terminal: irssi or weechat
GUI: hexchat
I use weechat.
I could never figure out how to make Hexchat's font color choice for my own messages be non-ugly, but I'd otherwise prefer it over other IRC clients.
Weechat is fine, but it's ncurses-based; and having to learn a bunch of commands for it is also a pain (even though I've been "using" it for a month or so, I'd still say I'm extremely new to it). It also looked a lot better out-of-the-box than irssi did when I tried it.
ii + acme
sometimes textual it's pretty good

Hexchat on Windows, irssi on loonicks
Thought you people might need a simple manual for irssi https://www.linode.com/docs/applications/messaging/using-irssi-for-internet-relay-chat
>not using a terminal based IRC client
fucking normies
>using a terminal-based IRC client
weechat is pretty much the best one but copying & pasting text just sucks on so many levels
switching between buffers is also more painful than in a gui-based client
>>61261979
irssi
How to reset mirc trial?
>>61263676
Just grab one of the cracks laying around. There should still be some torrents around.
>>61263676
Just crack it yourself
>>61263632

I got irssi configured to use ALT-number
>copying & pasting text just sucks on so many levels
Nigga, what are you copying? Copy pasting should be the easiest task on earth, you are doing something wrong.
