Why use anything else? It doesn't get better than this.

From a Debian-fag's point of view, here are some reasons as far as I can see that some people would not use Debian but other Linux distros:

>too hard and too DIY for Linux newbies
>not enough granular control of OS - I think it has plenty but some want way more
>systemd - not a problem for me but some don't like it
>not enough new software in stable
>disagreeing with the "Debian Way" and culture
>being a RH fag
>wanting something more out-of-the-box
>gaming - more games work in Ubuntu than Debian

That'll do for now, I'm sure there are way more. Playing devil's advocate as a Stretch user.

Tautology is fun, eh?

>>BLOATED
Minimal install hardly takes 500MB. Retard much?

Arch anywhere is the best "distro" experience I've ever had. All the benefits of a fully customized arch system with a 15 minute install. You build the distro during the install process by selecting all of your software. It's awesome.
I prefer it to debian with all of it's ancient software.

Personally I would tinker but I need something really fucking stable. I'm starting PhD in a couple of months and won't have time, or care, about messing with Arch. Debian suits my needs pretty much down to the ground. But I take your point, definitely.

I don't have time either that's why I like arch anywhere so much. It's an install script where you can choose all of the software you want during installation(DE,browser, etc). It's giving me all the benefits of a customized arch installation and AUR access but with next to no time spend configuring.
Been running it for four months at this point and nothing has broke.
