If for example you did not have neough money for the version with more RAM upgrading afterwards is impossible without somebody desoldering the RAM chips and soldering in new ones.
So you either buy the more expensive version directly which obviously has a bigger premium on it or have to buy a new one more often if you need more power.

So i assume the parts are not affected, otherwise it would be retarded to think you can easily repair (aka rated R for retarded) repair a HDD/SDD (like plates fucked up or controller burning harder than a oc'd core i9), a CPU or even a ram dimm, those kind of things of are either working or not, at beast they can warn you in a way (like with a shit ton of data corruption and several kernel panics/bsod).
