Hi /g/eniuses, can you please tell me what are those I marked in red?
My old pc motherboard actually has 8 of those, this has just 4.
Thanks
Lmao your boards gone. There is really nothing you can do, however lemonparty.org might have a solution

I'm a EE at samsung and jesus that board design is shit. Into the trash.

Vrm's for that different graphics card.

Thanks!
Do you think there are 4 missing or is it okay like that?

Nice

They're missing, you should definitely return the board

I didn't buy it, thanks anyway

It was a meme, I see no reason why they would randomly go missing.
However, if a company makes multiple PCB designs that have slight differences, it's cheaper to print them all the same and just not attach the components to the lower grade versions.
You know, it's cheaper to make one board design with 8 slots and then only put 4 of those in, than to make a version with 4 slots and a version with 8 slots. This is the probable non-meme answer.

yeah, that "definitely" gave it away
I was wondering if they were removed (it's not a new MB) I didn't even know what they were. thank you

They are mosfets for the buck switching regulator, the related inductors are just above them.
I think that is a power-s08 package. They did not just fall off, nearly the entire underside is soldered down for heat dissipation. If you look to the left there is another inductor and missing fet.
Are they necessary? It depends on the board design.
