I really loved Haiku that i actually installed it on bare metal. It can update nightlies easily, but its web browser is kinda buggy. It's a continuation of 2002 BeOS, so it's kinda comfy.
ReactOS is installable but it showed so much blue screens to me on VM
Debian GNU/Hurd didn't boot on my G530 3000, didn't tried with X220 because muh SSD is pretty small already
to me it's: GNU/Linux>Haiku>BSD>Windows>ReactOS
