The 3TB desktop drives were bad a few years ago. Acting like entire companies somehow have issues across their huge product lines makes no sense to me

Not gonna kill myself but thanks for your kindness and contribution to his thread

No problems, once that sector gets rewritten it will be disabled and the drive will go back to "OK" status.
>>61180607
Well you have 1 current pending sector count. Check the raw value column.
I have 8. On a new laptop nonetheless. What I did was run a surface test with EASEUS Partition Master and it showed me where the bad sectors were. I partitioned around the bad sectors and everything works fine now.
I've had a Samsung hdd on that condition for at least 3 years, it tends to make a horrible noise anytime you use it, but it still works fine
how's mine

You could check the drive for bad sectors. I've been using pic related for more than a year since I noticed the warning and so far no real problems aside from a few slow sectors. That aside, why the hell is that thing's power on count so high compared to the power on hours? I notice that it's an external(USB), does going to sleep and waking up count as a power on? or does it get unplugged every hour or something?

Good question. I always put the computer to sleep when I'm not using it I think it could be that
