So I want to get pic related chromebook and put linux on it. I was going to do windows 10 but the hardware prob won't handle it that well. Have a few questions
1. What is the best build or type of linux I should put on my chromebook?
2. Would the keyboard, trackpack, usb ports, hdmi, sound etc all work after install or would I need to get drivers?
3. Can I hook it up to a TV still through HDMI on linux?
4. I also will use the chromebook for school, are there like free alternatives to microsoft office on linux?
clover OS
there is all the software you need for school too
GalliumOS

Then when you get the hang of that, look in to Crouton for the distro of yiur choice.
GalliumOS is pretty fully featured though, with GIMP, office programs, and things like dropbox.

Just do your research and make sure you won't be cucked by a 32 bit UEFI.

Interesting, that seems to be the better option to go for. Thanks anon.

Wait isn't gallium technically a distro? Or is it different? Still learning bout linux.
