What's an alternative to youtube for general video watching and content hosting? Youtube keep pushing harder and harder down the liberal cess pit and I'd rather not support them.
I create content, I would like to help another site build up to replace it, but also have something I can put on in the background while I work on different projects.
So what's the youtube replacement options right now?

video sites are inherently worthless without a community to contribute. unfortunately, youtube is the only general-purpose site with a notable community.

Nothing until creators start making the push to a better alternative, which wont happen because every single one of them are pussyfooted shills

There is VidMe and Vimeo

If you want to casually upload video, it might do the job. Dunno much about Vimeo, but if you want some legit criticism about VidMe:

This. Giving everybody the ability to shout their worthless opinions into a camera and plaster it on the internet was a mistake.
