If you install snapchat first, then root, it will still work(for not atleast. Im guessing the app will stop eventually with updates)

It you use magisk you can set it to look as though its not rooted to install, then re-enable it.(not sure if it still works as root if its in the 'invisible mode', since i had no reason to try)

No budget, I'll blow some hard cash on it. I typically like to buy the phone outright anyway. 1080p minimum res IPS display. 128GB SD card reader. bluetooth. root and tamper-friendly (preferably AOSP out of the box). USB-C with quick charging would be nice. Decent battery. IR blaster. Decent audio chip. It doesn't need a top of the line GPU as I mostly run old school emulators. FM radio for shits and giggles?

LG V20 fits all of those specs, the only thing is that it doesn't have Xposed support because it runs 7.0.

If that's a dealbreaker your only choice for those specs is the LG G5. I own one but wouldn't recommend it to anyone desu. The GPS accuracy is abysmal, constantly dropping out and causing the phone to overheat. The only fix is temporary and requires disassembling the phone every few weeks. Also after 1 year of use I'm already replacing my usb port because of charging issues.

It lets you toggle the flashlight from lockscreen by using the volume buttons. I use my phone flashlight all the time so it's extremely convenient.

I'm using AICP on a Z2. It lets you turn the LED on from sleep(without unlocking) just by long-pressing the power button. Theres gotta be another app that allows that.

(to use the camera from lock, you gotta double tap the power button. I think it can be swapped with long-press instead though)
