It definitely can be with all the mindless consumerism and blatant fanboys. /g/ doesn't accept things with a hive mind mentality in many cases, and I'm sure many hate things because /g/ hates it and people want to impress other fat anime watching neckbeards. They most likely watch illegal cp hentai. However, with all that said sometimes they're right. Sometimes popular products are total shit and it's right to hate garbage.

Yes. 90% of the users here should just get a chromebook and some samshit or xiaoshit phone and get on with their lives but no they prefer wasting their life away talking about distros and tweaking them all the time, and pissing their money away on useless trinkets
