I didn't see the point in having one initially but after a while of owning a Thinkpad I found myself using one. I use it in place of the touch pad a lot of the time.

Everything. I disabled the touch pad.

I really like that. Currently using a x230 for university and I find the clitmouse very useful if you have your laptop on your lap.

I thought it was just a meme until I accidentally bought a thinkpad that didn't have a trackpad. I can't stand using a trackpad anymore

The touchpad on thinkpad is utter shit, so you kind of have to use it. I think it's better than the touchpad anyway.

I use it with my left hand, shits great

I do, because the touchpads they use for thinkpads are worse than any other touchpads I used.

And to be honest it's not that great, I don't get why people love it so much. It drifts like a motherfucker and not that quick to use or accurate. It has very limited functionality as well. I can understand 5 years ago where touchpads were terrible but these days, hell no.

It's more comfy. Also allows me to configure the toutchpad to be a full sized scrolling device
