honestly if I were you I would wait for vega (owner of a fury x + r7 1700 combo), but if you're impatient, and if the prices are ok, I think you should instead get a 1070

to add to that, you have to remember however, nvidia gpus age like milk, that's why I got a fury x over a 980 ti, even though they were both going for the same price where I live

Yeah that was my plan but it seems like Vega is gonna be late 2017 at best, that's a lot of waiting... I don't mind losing a couple hundred bucks (at most though) on resale, plus I can mine with it in the meantime and maybe that's worth a few shekels

Right now I only have an old Clevo laptop with a 650M

1070 is about the same price here in NL, better card but no Freesync, I only really want to play Doom maxed in 1080p so j dunno if the performance is better than Freesync
