Because I wanted all my shit in one place and thus had to make a decision between the Microsoft and Google botnets. Ultimately I went with Google because I'm already tied in, they offer more useful things, Microsoft's is still half-baked, and even when it comes to the comparable things Google's is way better (e.g. Translate).

Google won. I still like Windows as an OS though.

last time I tried to use it on Windows 10 it required app store account or something like that

1. The design is not special or good, they share the looks of Opera
2. No(t many) extensions
3. No .webm support
4. Can only installed on Windows 10
5. Even though claims are it makes your battery last longer, Windows 10 destroys that peak (look up windows 10 battery tests, pure gambling) so TLP+ GNU/Linux gives you more battery than Windows will ever give
