Looks to be a hardware problem. It's toast. Recycle, buy a new one. Epson scanners are commodity products.

Eject the disc from your PlayStation 3 console

the rail the scan head moves on probably chipped and the wheel which moves it can no longer move past that point
it could also be the wheel but prob not that far down
that's an expensive scanner and the rail is a cheap part, it's unusual enough where you'll prob have to pay for manufacturer labor but likely still worth checking the exact price of
