I did it for a year because i didnt want to downlaod 4+ GB windows ISO so downloaded ubuntu instead. Got a new laptop with win 10 this year and downloaded enough porn to not want to format and go back to linux. Kinda sucks.

To me, the best thing about tiling windows managers isn't the tiling, but the ability to quickly set up different spaces for different programs so you just need to press MOD+# to pull up want you want.
