Any free online resources to learn C or C++? And I mean really learn the language and not just basics.
Nobody tells you that you also need to learn libraries.

It's impossible for a human to finish reading and mastering all C++ libraries in his life time. Furthermore C++ has multiple standard libraries just to make you confused.

Check out codewars.com
you can't even make an account to get started until you pass the first test, and then they get significantly harder and harder after that
Hacking: The Art of Exploitation has a pretty good C intro, plus you get an overview of some common security mistakes that may or may not still be relevant. And of course, there's always K&R. I'm sure that you can find the first one free somewhere; it was released as a drm-free download in a humble bundle not long ago.

Watch the Harvard CS50 course on YouTube and do the exercises. Complement it with a decent book (Programming in C, or C Programming: A Modern Approach) and you will have a solid understanding of basic CS concepts and the C language.
Don't bother with K&R, it's practically a meme at this point. Read it once you're no longer a noob though for historical value.
