4chan in a nutshell

Because analysis and pure math relies o. Logical increments to prove theorems the same way a working program is made of incremental steps using lines of code. Honestly I don't think it works to we'll, programming is so much easier for me than proofs and I majored in math.

Higher level math classes force you to problem solve in a way that you couldn't in HS math. You can't rely on intuition in Calc II like you could in Algebra I.
>>61046105
Because computers are basically very VERY fast calculators. Programming is just a way to do math.
>>61046105
Because high math is either directly related to programming (i.e lambda calc, discrete math) or relates to simulation (linear algebra), or it's fundamental to get to the first two types (calculus)
You are not required to know all the proves, exact definitions and bigget picture. You are required to understand it at some level and be able to use it. Nothing in comparison to studying pure math.
What kind of math are you taking for a CS degree? My school only requires basic calc that covers limits, derivatives, and integrals with one variable. Which really everyone should learn.

If your CS course isn't 50% maths it isn't CS, its a Software Engineering course in disguise.
