Been thinking about getting this for fitness and other health related uses. After doing some reading, I find out you need an iPhone just to setup the damn thing.
Anyone had any experience with it who also doesn't have an iPhone. I figure I could get a buddy iphone to set up, but what about after?

What do you mean for fitness and other health related issues? If you just want a calorie counter, heartbeat monitor and step counter just get a fitbit

I want it for cycling apps (Strava) and the sleep monitor. I'm still reading up on what other apps it has to offer. But there's no point in doing that if it's not gonna work anyway which is why I made this thread to see what people thought of their experience with it.

Strava uses your phone's GPS right? So why not just bring your phone? Without the phone your smartwatch can't track shit. As for the sleep monitor a fitbit is enough but then even that you don't need a smart watch. I use an app called Sleep for Android and it does a great job at sleep monitoring. Just put the phone on your bed lol.

The series 2 has a built in gps which was what attracted me in the first place. I don't like taking my phone when I ride my bike, I already got it cracked.
I'm thinking I should've started a smart watch general instead....
