How was your day, fellow IT fags?
>Work at a NOC for a regional ISP in the south east
>Get an email from a client in Ft. Lauderdale, requesting I phone them
>Ring the number provided
>Someone picks up the phone and tells me active directory isn't working
>Tell them we're a NOC for an ISP and AD isn't our problem
>The guy I'm talking to cuts me off and says it is our problem
>He says they migrated their domain controllers to an off-site location
>After they migrated it takes 15+ minutes to access anything in active directory assuming they can access anything at all
>He says he wants me to make "the network faster" because he's paying for a 1Gbps connection so "there shouldn't be any problems"
>Find the off-site location they're talking about in Google Maps
>Realize they migrated their domain controllers to a site in fucking northern Canada
>The city is so far up north they probably get 6 months of continuous darkness and 6 months of continuous light
>Client gets pissed off when I tell him is request isn't possible
