Greetings /g/ents, today I will be holding a competition: who can create the best /g/ visual novel using Ren'py or similar.
Winner gets a candy.
>western """""anime"""""

>black borders

This is actually a bit of a challenge.
- Need to draw decently.
- Take the time to write a story with a couple of paths.
I've wanted to make a vn for a while but it takes so much time.
>>61035875
Nah, quality is not required nor expected.
>>61035916
Yeah but then why even bother?
One cool idea would be for someone to start it, and then other /g/ents could fork the project.
>>61035957
Go right ahead.
>>61035967
Alright, might actually go for it. GitLab for repo? I think this would allow NSFW content right?
/prog/ VN
>>61035998
I'm thinking we can have anons do their own repos and stick to their own projects.
Yeah, nsfw and anything else is cool
>>61036046
Alright then. Setting up my repo now. I draw from time to time, no real grasp of anatomy from what I'm told but I think I can draw nice faces.
>>61035496
/a/ called
they want their cancer back
>>61035999

>>61036160

Now to think of a story. A carefree romance? Slice of life is usually what I watch.
>>61036385
make a bunch of memes lel
Unteralterbach
>>61036375
oh god i like this idea, just do it
>Ren'py
Did you know that it sends anonymous info about its usage to the author?
Now you do. Botnet in my VNs? No thanks.
Or make a VN about botnets.
>>61036626
kek it's a /g/ vn ofc it's about botnets
and anonymous usage stats are not botnet
shameless self-bump
>>61036626
Ren'Py doesn't. I considered it for a while, but there was enough pushback it was never implemented.
(Note that games can send back info, and probably do if you're using Steam or something.)
Always wanted to make a vn using Renpy but I'm always too lazy. Btw thanks Tom for the amazing engine.
