whats the purpose of this thread?
>>61031488
shill for advertising companies

>>61031251
I like this new kind of bait.

Why do you post these threads so often? You never get many replies. Can't you think of something new to post daily? Maybe that's too hard for someone of your mental capacity though.

How do I block that shit with ublock?
>>61031251
I feel you op. I just do the opposite I have a NewsBlock it blocks text on sites and I just watch commercials every day.
Adblock stops the content creators from getting paid for the content they make
You owe it to them for watching their content, and using adblock is literally stealing in a realistic context
>>61032813
it's even worse than that morally speaking.
because not blocking ads literally costs you nothing.
It's like burning a 100$ bill instead of tipping the waiter, for pure sadism
>>61031552
kek
>>61032813
I'm sorry, I guess didn't realize that I owed content creators something for publishing on the open internet.
>>61031488
Brainlet alert
>>61032813
Showing ads is literal rape. It doesn't respect my freedom. I don't give a shit about such content """creators"""
>>61032853
it costs me my sanity, having to click through dozens of shitty popups, some of them opening in the background, playing annoying sounds and all that
i was perfectly fine with text based ads and simple jpeg ads, but you fuckers just couldnt resist the urge of fucking everyone over with self-opening ads that cover the whole screen as soon as you got your filthy sausage fingers on javascript
now its time for you to eat shit
can't wait for this cancerous ad industry to flop
>>61032813
Maybe content creators should worry about creating content that creates value instead of faking value.
>>61032813
Here's my counter:
I stop paying attention to content creators and do something else
>>61032853
well, it costs you the time spent cleaning malware off your computer, for one
>>61032813
>You owe it to them for watching their content
Good joke.
>>61032813
kek
>>61033102
This.
And ad networks aren't going to pay for the damage caused by the malware they distribute. There's no reason why we should support ad networks when they don't give a shit about us. Content creators have already found other methods of getting income, whether through donations, shameless plugs, service referrals or Patreon. There's no reason to unblock ads and expose myself to a malware attack vector.
>>61032899
this. I dont mind small static picture or text ads but as soon as they moved to flashing gifs and full screen bombardments I started getting really pissed. Using an Ad blocker these days is a must or else half the webpage is filled with garbage.

>adblocking
>theft
Actually, if one would look at the elements of common law theft, one would come to the conclusion that it isn't the case when someone blocks an ad. At most, adblocking would be a tort of interference with an expectation of economic benefit. Good luck proving that tho.

Sure is summer in here.
>>61031251
Yup, fuck (((web 2.0))).
I also include a custom stylesheet to hide anything that makes it through; guaranteed to NEVER see a shitty ad on my machine.

This for the second time. I recently disabled uBlock for one site and was assaulted about two weeks later. I was just watching animu and in the middle of episode some loud audio started playing because the site refreshed the ads.
Adblocking is just not giving handouts, and probably protecting your computer from some annoying shit

~1088 of these threads.
Forcing ads onto me which in turn cause noticeable performance decreases on some websites is a violation of the NAP. Therefore I use adblockers.

Could you please avoid the antisemetic imagery?
I know it's a joke an all, but it's really offensive towards posters of the judaic faith.
Thanks in advance, hope it doesn't come to me having to report you.

Ads in a nutshell:
Malicious software being mass-spammed by companies that are willing to pay megacorp companies that don't even need that ad revenue and will still get along perfectly in order to lure in dumbasses who are willingly going to click that "u just won a free ipad!!!!".
The people smart enough to install adblock didn't use ads in the first place.
The tards that click these ads are too stupid for adblock.
Everybody wins.

>*Uses non free image with visible watermark to call people stealers*
The internet is a pull medium, not a push one. I merely decline to request ads.
Stealing is an active act to deprive someone of something, not accepting something that is offered isn't stealing

>third party sales man keep shoving shit into my face

>>61037218
Though that's not entirely true.
Initially it is a pull medium, you request a web address and the browser opens a socket to complete that request, but the server can ask to keep that socket open and then push data to the client.
But no one does that to deliver adverts because that would require the target server to be serving the ads, and that isn't how the ad networks work.
