red pill me on scrum
/g/ talks about programming languages non-stop but never about development methods. Is this because non of you have a job?
Red pill scrum/agile give it to me.
2 days of sprint planning for 3 days of development.
No fucking thanks

Sprint planning shouldn't take more than a couple of hours every two weeks. Product owner and bsa should have this shit all sorted out for the scrum master.
Are there seriously zero professionals on /g/?
is there anything more joy crushing about development than having to plan your next 2 weeks out, then work through a bunch of JIRA issues trying to meet your expected results, and then do a retro meeting on friday afternoon to talk about how it went?

no
anyone who has an actual development job quickly realizes that you need a hobby other than computers or video games unless you want to go completely crazy
that includes shitposting on /g/

How does it connect to what Anon said?
Oh wait, this is 4chan

Ot is just another project management tool. Not limited to technology.
There is no redpill. If you (and your team) can efficiently handle your tasks, you don't need it.
Use whatever you want. Kanban, scrum, waterfall it's all the same.

We're not strictly scrum but sprint planning never takes us more than an hour. It's the Product Owner's job to prioritise the backlog and sort it accordingly. The only discussions had at planning are clarifying any ambiguity in the stories and estimating how much off the top of the backlog we can complete in the next 2 weeks.
I find even this bothersome but not unmanageable
Scrum is a meme but everyone does it. Agile is fine though.

no need to redpill you.
it just sucks™
