a 3D engine that has destructive physics based on realistic models, like how PBR shaders are based on real life optical parameters of different materials, there would be shear and stress parameters for the models using those shaders. so wood splinters, ceramic cracks, metals warp, and so on.
A multilayered redundancy system for web servers that duplicates data across an array of servers. In the event one goes down, all requests are redirected to the next server in the chain.
I started working on something like this a few years ago, but I gave up due to my own inadequacy as a developer, and my poor attention span. I called it Bjorn.
