main hard drive @ 57°C. Should I worry?
>>61014987
No, if it dies you can replace it with a modern drive.
>>61014994
it's modern as fuck but the ambient temp is 33°C

Hard drives are antiquated in general
btw one of my ssds is currently showing 21 C
I always remember my ST 7200.4 running warm, like 51C at least.
monitor it while handling large files
>>61015052
The SSD ran at 53°C today.
Ever heard of fans my man? Apparently HDDs are fine if you don't run them over 60°c (generally 5-60°c). I wouldn't be comfy with such temps though.

Can't go without it if you need space.
is opening the case good for temps or does it fuck the airflow?

Are you insane? At like 30 and below HDD failure skyrockets!
