Yes technically it will function, but so will a floppy drive.
>>
>>61014384
It's obsolete because that model with its glorious smooth metal casing was only ever available in sizes up to 2GB.
>>
>>61014339
You know the finish doesn't actually make it any more durable, right? Whatever stress would crush some shitty $1 usb would break that too
>>
>>61014339
A fucking USB?

So what?

Smooth metal casing? That's what does it for you? Wow.

best design*

It prevents dust and scratches. Also the clicky sound is pretty satisfying.
>>
>>61014573
Buy a metal USB stick then.

Muh metal = quality is marketing bullshit though, there is pretty much never a case where this will be better than a well-designed plastics case.

And of course, many more exist.

>viao
>Sad anything about it is not with us anymore

kys cunt you can just get any ultraportable that is designed the same if not better than that.
>>
>>61014672
Or, if you're an interesting customer, they'll give you one free, because its like a $2 piece of metal.

I'm sure they'll charge up to $arbitrary_nonsense for the privilege of you being able to show that you're "rich".

Yet, plastic will generally be superior as a choice for a credit card. What do you get from the metal, scratch more objects and accidentally poke your GF's eye harder or something?
>>
>>61014753
>What do you get from the metal, scratch more objects and accidentally poke your GF's eye harder or something?
You get to feel like your dick is larger than the waiter's when you hand him a heavy credit card. That's about it.
>>
>>61014678

This one is my favorite, still use it despite being only 4 gb.
>>

well, apparently you get a GF, so thats something 98% of /g/ would be interested in.
>>

The short version of that is really handy, actually. The carabiner-thing lets you keep it on your keychain conveniently.
>>
>>61014767
There is no problem in letting the people who need to know you have money know when it matters, and in most other situations it's honestly more chill and easy if they don't.

>>61014853
If you see it that way, I guess so?

>>61014861
All right, I guess a hook has a legitimate use, and for the loop metal is probably superior to plastic.

Had one of those. Astoundingly easy to break. Very cheap plastic.
I always look for flash drives now with either no moving parts or the kind with a large slide over it, not fixed to the port (no force on it from plugging in) so less likely to break, and if it does, I can still use it.
I had to superglue my cruzer open.

Not him, but I actually find (good) portrait keyboards much more comfortable because you can easily cover bigger area with one thumb and don't need as long strokes (and if it's a good keyboard it doesn't make hitting a single button any harder). And I haven't ever seen any keyboard that comes close to BB ones.

You can play games for minimum 8hrs straight. Emulation or certain games can go past the 10-12hr marks if you can afford to clock down the cpu for them (usually automatic, can be done manually too).
Shit is preddy gud when you consider the 3ds/xl can't even get close to 8hrs and phones are laughable for playing games.

I think we're better off without it at least for now. FirefoxOS was apparently getting in the way of the devs working on Firefox/Gecko. For now I feel like anything they build will just be torn down later on by the Firefox/Gecko devs who aren't satisfied with the current codebase. When Mozilla's devs are satisfied with their refactoring then they can build something like FirefoxOS on top of that.

This trackball by Logitech.
Literally THE only good trackball that has ever existed despite its gimped design. (wireless)
This actually worked as a full replacement for a mouse.
It had all the precision AND speed without the desk-space requirements.

I owned the normal cruzer as well as a titanium one, only the former felt cheap, maybe you're confusing the metal one for the plastic one since they look the same otherwise. The MX500 had perfect weight and grip. The feet were separate and that deterred dust from building up unlike the padded feet pieces of shit that Logitech uses now for it's mice. And fuck these high ass DPIs. Who needs 3600 dpi when most people throttle it down to less than a quarter of that. This thing was glorious. 20GB mp3 player released in 2003. It had a clickable scroll wheel that made navigation fast as fuck. Supported MP3, WMA, Ogg, and even FLAC. It let you place bookmarks in tracks so you could use it for audiobooks or long podcasts. It came with a dock that had RCA L&R audio out as well as an ethernet jack. You could set the blue light to either indicate battery charge status or act as a visualizer for the music.

God damn I loved that thing.

If that's the X230, most retarded thermal design I've seen on a Thinkpad yet. Has to be disassembled down to the main board just to repast it. It wasn't too bad as I need to replace the DC jack as well but fuck this design. ALso the screen design is poor as it cracks along the seam on the edge.

halo 1/2 aren't bad games, but they're not xbox exclusive (anymore), and my favourite console fps is timesplitters 3

I loved these. Made transferring files from digital cameras or to PDAs easy as hell. You could also keep them safely stowed away in your computer's SD slot and then pop them out to move files to another computer even if it didn't have a slot.

It's 2017, why do I still need specialized hardware to quickly and easily transfer large files between two computers in the same room?
