MacOS requires me to buy an overpriced piece of hardware. Not an option.
Windows 10 has ads, spyware, malware, and forced updates.
All previous versions of Windows have the same flaws minus forced updates, because there are no updates, and lack support.
GNU/Linux might be ""customizable"" and doesn't include a botnet, but total design inconsistency makes everything unnecessarily harder to do.
I just want something free, easy, and either looks nice or allows me to make it look nice. What fucking OS do I get, /g/?

Go full Pajeet and install Android on your laptop. It gets good battery life and runs almost any Android app. Pretty fantastic for shitposting and other basic tasks if you ask me. The project is called Android x86 and there's a pretty new Nougat build out.
I still dual boot with Debian stretch though because I need certain software that won't run on this mobile toy OS.
