I want to game on SteamOS but i also want to mess about with Kail linux or should i just stay on windows 7
>>
No. Move to steam os. You are not supposed to install Kali, run it from USB or some kind of flash storage.
>>
It's called virtual machines, anon
Also dont fucking install kali to your hdd or use it as a "daily driver"
>>
64gb flash drive for the kali then ?
>>
>>61008152
Just use debian, or mint.
>>
Linux gaymen autist here

Stick to win7. I've gamed on fedora Ubuntu steamos and archlinux. Ideally just never do Linux gaming if you want the most performance.

The novelty however is nice.

What is up with children and asking about installing Kali? btw 4chan is 18+

This.

What the fuck do you need 64GB for, are you capturing network information spanning several months?

Go 32GB at most, unless you enjoy excessive amounts of free space
>>
>>61008183
Not him but i were thinking of daul booting kali, why shouldn't i?
>>
>>61008152
Steam OS is just Ubuntu with Steam pre-installed. Kali is just Ubuntu with a bunch of pentesting shit pre-installed. Install Ubuntu, and install what you need on it.
>>
>>61008954
Correction, they are both Debian, not Ubuntu, but the point still applies.
>>
>>61008701
Nothing really.
>>
Does anyone have any good experience gaming on linux because it seems bad all the time when i hear about it?
>>
Dual boot Steam OS and Kali will be perfect for you
>>
setting up Steam requires command line fidgeting on almost any Linux OS. Be prepared.

For some reason the 32 bit libraries never make it on to 64 bit machines by default.

I would use Debian. It has enough net application compatibility to hack with iif that's what you want, and it's what SteamOS is based on. Long live Debian.
>>
>>61010441
>sudo apt install steam
Done. No fidgeting. Works on any 64bit Ubuntu-based OS.
