I quite like PyCharm but customizing it is rather tricky. The macro binding system is also poor.

It's an impressive tool otherwise. The debugger is just exceptional.

Anyone know of a good IDE that used folder structure for navigation, has integrated terminal support and isn't VSCode?

Why are C++ IDEs so fucking shit? The only good ones are CLion and Visual Studio but both are proprietary.

VS is just bloated garbage. I have tried at least a dozen times in the past to get it to function, it doesn't, and requires massive downloads for each attempt. I hate it with a passion.

Intellij Idea for Ruby, JS and PHP. Much easier to have everything in one place. FTP, VCS, DB, terminal, youtrack, (remote) debugging, plus everything is configurable.
99% of stuff is ready out of the box so I can just start writing the code i.e. the only reason why people need IDE.

Why does c++ has amazing minimal text editor plugins and ides but everything for java is a shit mess even though it is used more than c++

My uncle is studying phd in austria now and he told me that most of the programming help he got is from pajeets from Yahoo and aol chatrooms
