Problem with my mobo was ram stability and speed, and the lack of LLC and Soc voltage options for overclocking. I'm keeping the mobo (Asrock AB350M Pro4, not worth a damn anyway) and selling the 1700. I'll get a better overclocker later on when shit have matured more and new cpu's are out.

I can't say I noticed bad framerates with my gtx1060 6gb, only have a 29" 2560x1080 screen tho. But I did get BAD screen tear and stuttering when scrolling in the web browser.

Gonna run the x58 for now, more than enough power for my use.

You may want to hold out for Coffee Lake, there's gonne be a 6 core for the mainstream platform.
I'm tempted my self, we'll see when prices and oc results comes along.

Yea definitely, thats all up to game developers though. For now everything is clock speed based, but with the direction of cpu architecture (more cores/threads) developers will be forced to optimize for current trends.

Looking for some help. Built pic related yesterday, replaced my old board, cpu, ram and cooler with an 1800x on the c6h. Currently can't even post, getting 0d and 03 on the qcode which indicates possible CPU error, but my DRAM warning lights up, not my CPU light. I've resented the cpu, tightened and loosened the D15 mount, tried a single stick of ram in each slot, flashed bios to latest update with agesa 1.0.0.4, reset CMOS several times, changed gpu pcie slot.

Any recommendations? I'm seriously 100% lost.

Already pulled the battery twice and let it go cold. I haven't tried the stick cables though, thanks for the tip! Got a set of FlareX RAM (the "Ryzen ready" stuff) just in case.
