Do you want to use portage and layman or pacman and AUR?
I think you already know the answer to this.
>>61002368
The dignified choice is Gentoo.
portage >>>> shit >>>> AUR

Clover

Debian.
Ubuntu if you're new to linux.

it's like these cunts are trying to be the opposite of a rolling release
>>61002525
thats why I like it. updating shit (and fixing something that breaks) every goddamned day is annoying.
>>61002541
I've been using a rolling distro for around 4 months and it never broke.
Even then, use a non-rolling release, but with packages newer than 5 years.
Seriously, being that behind is horrible

debian you useless women (male) loving neckbeard neet
or if you're willing to go hardcore with security™ and freedom™ go with openbsd

yeah, its a stable server distro. thats the point

OpenBSD is useless, though.

Gentoo for maximum fun and coolness
Has Debian even been patched to fix Stack Clash yet? What about the others?
GNU/Linux development is spearheaded by the NASA/Red Hat/freedesktop cabal
BSD is the current best choice although it will share the same fate as Linux eventually

Portage > linux
Fedora. It's the big boys' Linux and it also isn't using many years old package versions like Debian.
