Lately I have become fond of the Unix philosophy. As a software developer it relieves me from meaningless complications. So I thought I should try FreeBSD.
My question is whether I am able to run my Ryzen 1700X with RX570 easily in FreeBSD 11? Are they upto date with kernel compatibility?
Also, general BSD thread.

It's like you want your system to get owned and backdoored. Your soul will be owned and raped forever unless you use Linux or OpenBSD.
Even though Linux is only Unix-like, it follows the Unix philosophy more closely than any modern incarnation of Unix. And you know, at this point I don't think OpenBSD is even worth working on these days because Linux has already had so much put into it.
Call that a sunk cost fallacy, but I'm just being realistic here.

The RX570 isn't supported since you need amdgpu, you might be able to make it work on 12-CURRENT, but certainly not in 11-RELEASE. Ryzen should be finethough .
