This. Just did this with some electronics hardware. Wasn't sure which part was faulty so I just ordered one of each and told the seller of the part I didn't need that it was defective (it worked perfectly fine) and that I'd like a refund. Seller refused and said they clearly stated they had a no refund policy, which was true, so I requested Ebay to step in for the buyers guarantee. Ebay sent me a shipping label and had me send it back, then sent me a full refund. I didn't have to pay a cent. I don't even feel bad because the part was from some chink who mailed it out from a nail salon in cali.

This is why Ebay is awesome for buying, but I'd never, ever sell something on there. The whole place is ripe for abuse.

So I was building a new sys and wanted to upgrade my 570gtx. Market was awful, no AMD cards, 1070 was 600+ and. Seriously the 570 was 350 and. The 1060 6gb is 400aud but I'm overpaying because no amd cards. Second hand market was overpriced to hell. After camping my locals for 2 weeks I scored a 780gtx for 110aud. But fuck it I will happily play older games because new ones with pretty textures aren't fun.

nvidia stock is fucked too. I went to buy a card the other day and ended up having to buy a 1080 (The last one in the store that wasn't torn up, too) because the only other cards in stock were 1050s and one lonely entry-level AMD.

I'm just glad I got my card when I did now, the few places that still have them online want $100+ more than I paid.
