Hard/drives are sold in MB/GB and are labelled properly as MB/BG

Software varies, some software on GNU/Linux will tell you in MiB/GiB some will tell you in MB/GB - the point is they all do it correctly and the values and their units are properly implemented.

Currysoft Wankstein shows you the value in MiB/GiB but labels them MB/GB which is the reason why every single winturd and their mother claim they've been "ripped off" by hardware manufacturers because their system shows a lower value.
