It's literally the only company that makes a stable and functioning proprietary operating system. Not like their is much to compete with when it's Apple versus Windows in normie-land. Otherwise the hardware is over priced as all hell and incorporates blatant planned obsolescence. Fuck that. Let me get the hardware I want and let me slap *BSD and call it a day. I'll have an open source (and free as in beer) OS as *nix like and streamlined as Apples while having the hardware I actually want for half the price.

Or he just doesn't carry his phone regularly, like me. My phone is either off or in my car or in my drawer 95% of the time. I don't like constant connection but I enjoy having music once in a while. It's a dumb phone anyways.
