hey /g/ ,
i've been using eclipse for a while and some of my peers are definitely trying to meme me into using intellij since its free for me for now (graduating in about 2 years).
wtf is so wrong with eclipse? people say its overkill for an java ide but i think it works just fine.
Should i stay with eclipse or just listen to the fucking trolls?

People say a great many things.
Eclipse has good support and nice themes.
It's easily customizable and FOSS.
Depends on what you need. But don't think that the proficiency in a certain IDE or editor gives you an advantage later on in real developing.
Most studios let you use, what you are comfortable with. And if they really have to use a standard IDE it is going to be VisualStudio.

I know that for C related languages visual studio is the greatest but im doing java here

Go for ant + vim. Eclipse is a bloatware.
