They couldn't even be consistent with themselves most of their own programs use a completely different design which makes it feel like the whole UI was hacked together by a dozen different people who didn't speak to each other and all did their own thing.

In Linux you make your hotkeys, so they work best for you. It's done via a quick and easy UI. No commands needed, just a setting. Regardless of this, wangblows requires a fuckton of thirdparty shitware just to be able to do something as simple as universal hotkeys. Something as simple as customizing the color of your windows beyond the frame is an immense process of having to reverse compiling DLLs and editing msstyles. The only thing wingdings has over Linux is SLI for games, literally everything else can be done within Linux for fucking free. I can run GPU passthrough and acceleration on Adobe photoshop on Linux. I can run DX12 games with just 2fps less than windblangs in Linux. Its just a matter of how much effort you want to put in it. If you want to be lazy and have a shit inconsistent interface, with shit inconsistent bugs and crashes, fine go ahead and use wabbles to your hearts content. Just know that there are better options available.
