Why is it a company that makes CPUs is able to produce chips with 1 billion + transistors in the nm size range which all work but LCD screen makers cant handle making sure less than 2 million pixels at most in the 50 micro meter size range are all functional?
Why do we accept any dead pixels in our displays considering the precision demanded by every other component in a computer?
I don't get it.
Generally speaking.
No.
Why am I the only one mad about this bullshit?

You may notice that the chips are smaller than monitor screens.

The size of the pixels should make them easier to make, not harder.

>1 billion + transistors in the nm size range which all work
who even said they all work? I'm not an expert in the area, but i bet it's a statistics game, and most, but not ALL of those transistors, work.

>should
Yeah this is where your logic breaks down. They aren't easier to make.

They can turn on/off subsections, ex enabling only 4 of 6 cores but out of the cores enabled, literally every transistor has to function for the logic gates to correctly work.

They absolutely are easier to make. Its just screen makers have conned the public into being OK with a faulty product because it sort of works while a CPU wouldn't function at all.
