I have been diagnosed with "ADD" but in fact it is depression. With the computer, OP, you shouldn't focus on how much money you just spent, or even if the computer will fill that gaping void in your heart, because it won't, especially with all the pieces in boxes.

Put it together carefully and get it running, be proud of yourself you did that. Recognize that although it's rather easy to assemble, many people all over the world will never do this, and if they do they will never have the confidence to assemble it properly and without damage. You, however, seem to know what you're doing, you have a lot of nice parts there and you should just rip everything open and start building. You will feel better afterwards.

This is why I hate gaming, the "gamers" and devs focus more on graphics and immersion than on the game itself. It is called video GAME not video movie. Uh, I was under the impression the general trend is games are getting shorter, but shit developers pad out the game with achievements and insipid shit to waste time on so you are "forced" (really it is 100% your choice, the video game cannot make you do anything) to spend lots of time collecting bullshit and finding all the secrets if you want to have all the cheevos.

MGS5 is a poor example because, if you play ANY Hideo Kojima game, you should expect long cutscenes because he's more of a movie director than a game director, that's his signature. I mean really what did you expect after MGS4?
Anyway, extrapolating what Kojima does to the rest of the industry is completely wrong, and you clearly need to play a wider variety of games.
