Cause it's the version of C# that works on linux as well and those "poos" are asians and middle eastern fellows who don't like to waste money whereas amerifats spend on .net because they have more money than sense

Because C# is too complicated for these folks, believe it or not.

Its MUCH easiar to write in than other compiled languages (namely C and C++), and although it isn't as fast, the neglible performance loss is worth it for faster development

There's a shit ton of software written in it used by all sorts of companies that needs to be maintained.

Java applications are shit. Faceless applications are better done in C++ with hardly any increase in platform specific code (if you know what you're doing). And there are better options for GUI applications.
